Itch relief shampoo and coat care spray for dogs
Itching is a sign, not a diagnosis of a specific disease. Common causes of itching are parasites (e.g. fleas or mites), infections (dermatitis), and allergies. There are many skin diseases that do not initially cause itching. Itching may also develop because of secondary bacterial or yeast infections.
If your dog is still itching, but he doesn't have fleas or a food allergy, he may have some environmental allergies to things like pollen or dander. A nutrition change may not do much in the way of relief, but your vet may recommend a therapeutic food to improve your dog's skin health.
Some conditions are very easy to treat, for example infection or fleas/mites respond well to an anti-microbial shampoo or grooming spray such as DermOpt dog shampoo for itchy skin and the associated coat care spray.
